Top 100 – Emplas Joins Northamptonshire Elite

Wellingborough based trade fabricator, Emplas, has been listed as one of Northamptonshire’s leading privately owned companies for the fourth year in succession.

The Northamptonshire LTD 2025 report, which lists the county’s 100 leading privately-owned businesses, ranks Emplas’ parent group among the region’s top 40 firms – and among the top 30 fastest growing.

Designed as a showcase for the ‘scale, resilience and adaptability’ of Northamptonshire’s most successful privately owned firms, this year’s analysis commended a business community that ‘continues to perform strongly, even as economic uncertainty, cost pressures and policy change reshape the operating environment’.

Growth county

Ryan Johnson, the managing director of Emplas Group, says: “Despite tough conditions across the board, Northamptonshire’s top 100 privately-owned businesses collectively generated £10.1bn in turnover, with yearonyear growth of 3.6%, and were proud to be a part of that.

“Trading conditions were even tougher than expected last year, with inflation, interest rates, tax hikes and project backlogs all big hurdles to overcome, yet we continued to forge ahead by innovating and investing.”

Manufacturing investment

2025 saw Emplas increase its solar power capacity, expand its manufacturing facilities and further develop its own customer business management platform, EVA CRM. The trade fabricator also launched its consumer facing platform, Snug Windows & Doors, and continued to focus on its Commercial Window Group installer network, generating over 250 tenders worth millions of pounds of new business for its members.

“The groundwork we put in last year will put our customers in a good position to take advantage of the opportunities that will come their way as the retail and commercial markets pick up.” adds Johnson.

“Our success and rapid growth are ultimately down to the hard work and commitment of our team and the loyalty and support of our customers. We’d like to thank them all for helping to make us what we are.”
